Your VOTE is needed on November 3, 2015....

On November 3, 2015, it is imperative that you exercise your right to vote. State Proposition 1, known as the Homeowner Tax Relief Proposition needs your YES vote. This proposition will ban sales taxes on real estate transactions; increase homestead exemption to $25,000; and reduces taxes on senior and disabled Texans. Please make sure that you read your ballot. Many counties are trying to confuse the issue by have other Proposition 1 items that are not relate to this one. Are you READY to purchase a home?

As I sit here on this Friday afternoon, I'm astonished at the rental prices in the Austin area. The median lease price in July 2015 for Austin-area home leases was $1,550, three percent higher than in July 2014. This amount equates to $18,600 a year. It's hard for me to understand "why" people continue to pay this high rental amount verses buying a home. Right now, I'm sending a challenge out to all RENTERS... Why are people still RENTING?

With the current rental market increasing on a daily basis, and the opportunity to own a home getting easier; why are people still renting? We started looking at several lease homes and submitted numerous lease applications. All the lease applications we submitted were not accepted due to multiple applications.
